  • Payment Data: Credit/debit card details (processed in an encrypted manner through our payment partners, such as Stripe or PayPal) and security deposit data.
  • Identification Data (SEF/AIMA): By legal requirement in Portugal, at the time of check-in, we must collect identification data for all foreign guests (including minors): Full name, date of birth, nationality, country of residence, and identification document number (Passport or ID Card).

Your data is processed based on the following grounds:

  • Reservation Management (Contract Execution): To process your payment, confirm the reservation, manage the €500 security deposit, and communicate with you before and during the stay.
  • Legal Obligation (SEF/AIMA): Mandatory communication of the entry of foreign citizens to the Accommodation Bulletins Information System (SIBA), under Law no. 23/2007.
  • Invoicing: Issuing invoices and complying with tax obligations before the Tax Authority.
  • Legitimate Interest: To ensure the security of the accommodation and respond to any questions or complaints.

We do not sell your data to third parties. However, we may share it with the following entities for operational and legal purposes:

  • AIMA / SEF: Mandatory communication of foreign guest data.
  • Tax Authority: For accounting and tax purposes.
  • Service Providers:

    • Lodgify: The platform where our website is hosted and which manages the booking engine.
    • Payment Processors: (Ex: Stripe) For secure payment processing and deposit pre-authorization.
    • Cleaning/Check-in Services: Only the data necessary for logistical coordination (e.g., arrival time).

  • Identification Data (SEF): Kept for a period of 1 year, as required by law.
  • Invoicing Data: Kept for 10 years, due to tax requirements.
  • Reservation Data: Kept for the time necessary to manage the stay and resolve potential disputes, or until you request their deletion (unless there is a legal obligation to keep them).
